In neun von zehn Fällen ist ein Code, der zum Schichtbeginn sauber läuft und zur Mitte dünn wird, ein Viskositätsproblem. Nachfüll-Lösungsmittel verdunstet den ganzen Tag aus dem Tintenkreislauf, und das Gerät dosiert entsprechend nach. Fehlt das Lösungsmittel oder meldet der Kartuschen-Chip nicht mehr korrekt, dickt die Tinte ein und der Tropfen bricht später ab.

Bevor jemand zum Werkzeug greift: Viskosität am Bedienpanel ablesen und mit dem Wert vom Schichtbeginn vergleichen. Steigt die Kurve, ist die Fehlerstelle schon klar.

Erst Viskosität, dann Druckkopf

Die Viskosität ist der beweglichste und am leichtesten prüfbare Parameter. Die meisten Qualitätseinbrüche zur Schichtmitte laufen auf zu wenig Lösungsmittel im Kreislauf hinaus.

Notieren Sie den Wert zu Beginn, zur Mitte und am Ende der Schicht, zwei Wochen lang. Danach sehen Sie den schlechten Tag kommen, bevor die Prüfkamera anschlägt.

Eine halb verstopfte Düse sieht nach Einstellung aus

Eine ganz verstopfte Düse stoppt das Gerät. Eine halb verstopfte ist schlimmer, weil sie weiterläuft und immer schlechter druckt. Typisch ist ein Code, der am Zeilenanfang stimmt und bei hoher Geschwindigkeit unlesbar wird, oder ein Zeichen, das jedes Mal Striche verliert.

Machen Sie einen Düsentest und schauen Sie auf das Tropfenbild, nicht auf den Text. Reinigen ist billig, die gleiche Störung über Parameter zu suchen ist es nicht. Bei einem DM- oder VJ-Kopf genügt meist der Wartungsplan aus dem Handbuch – wichtig ist nur, den Kopf nicht trocken stehen zu lassen.

Temperatur und Substrat verändern das Ergebnis

Tinte, die an einem kühlen Morgen passt, verschmiert an einem warmen Nachmittag, besonders ohne Klimatisierung. Ein Code, der auf trockenem Karton haftet, kann auf gekühlter, kondensierter Verpackung Perlen bilden.

Sehen Sie sich die Verpackung genauso genau an wie die Maschine. Wenn der Lieferant die Beschichtung geändert hat, ist die Tinte nicht schlechter geworden – sie traf nur eine andere Oberfläche.

Sauberkeit von Auffangrinne und Deflektoren

Tintennebel setzt sich in Wochen ab, nicht in Tagen. Dann werden Tropfen ungleich abgelenkt, der Code wandert seitlich oder kleine Zeichen verlieren den Abstand.

Ein wöchentlicher Wisch der Auffangrinne und eine Prüfung der Ladeelektrode verhindern die meisten Ausfälle, die später dem Druckkopf angelastet werden.

Wann Tinte tauschen statt Parameter drehen

Ist das Chargendatum der Kartusche alt oder hat die Tinte den Sommer im warmen Schrank verbracht, holt keine Einstellung sie zurück. Kartusche wechseln, Charge notieren und prüfen, ob der Fehler mit der Tinte geht.

Eine Nachfüll-Lösungsmittel-Kartusche auf Lager zu haben, ist die günstigste Versicherung der Linie. Die meisten Geschichten über verblasste Codes enden dort.
