Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for wine bottles requiring production codes.

Challenge

Coding on back labels and directly on glass required ink that adhered to both surfaces.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. The CIJ system printed batch numbers on back labels and glass capsules with quick-dry ink.

Result

Winery batch traceability compliance achieved without slowing the bottling line. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
