Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for disposable glass bottles for beverages.

Challenge

Coding on curved glass required ink that adhered to non-porous glass through filling.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. Special glass-surface ink printed clear codes on bottle bottoms with the CIJ system.

Result

Codes remained intact through bottling and distribution with 99% readability. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
