Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for PVC and metal pipes for construction.

Challenge

Marking pipe specs and dimensions on curved surfaces at extrusion speed required durable coding.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. CIJ systems printed specifications and batch codes on pipes inline with extrusion.

Result

Durable markings met industry standards and remained legible through installation. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
