Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for lumber plywood and timber products.

Challenge

Coding on porous uneven wood surfaces required ink that penetrated without bleeding.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. CIJ printers with wood-grade ink printed batch numbers and grades on lumber.

Result

Inventory tracking and supply chain compliance improved with permanent codes. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
