Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for electrical cables requiring length marking.

Challenge

Continuous marking on moving cable surfaces at extrusion speeds required abrasion-resistant ink.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. CIJ printers installed inline with cable extrusion printing marks continuously on jackets.

Result

Cable inventory management improved with consistent permanent markings. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
