Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for soy sauce bottle caps and small condiment closures. The facility required reliable, high-speed marking directly on product surfaces and packaging materials.

Challenge

The very small surface area on narrow caps required extremely precise inkjet control.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. A compact CIJ printer with fine-nozzle technology printed miniature date codes clearly on cap tops.

Result

Readability maintained at 99% even on the smallest cap sizes with no speed impact. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
