Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for Tetra Pak aseptic cartons for milk and juice.

Challenge

Coding on coated carton surfaces in high-speed filling lines required synchronized printing.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. CIJ printers integrated into Tetra Pak lines printing dates on carton tops at line speed.

Result

Coding accuracy maintained at over 20000 packages per hour with zero skipped codes. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
