Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for lipstick tubes and cosmetic packaging.

Challenge

Printing batch and shade codes on small curved lipstick tubes required precise control on glossy surfaces.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. A compact CIJ printer printed cosmetic codes on tube bottoms using fast-drying ink.

Result

Product traceability enhanced with permanent batch codes supporting quality control. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
