Application Overview
This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for ICs, capacitors and connectors.
Challenge
Marking tiny components with readable codes without damaging sensitive electronics.
Solution
We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. Micro-droplet CIJ printed lot codes on component bodies with minimal droplet size.
Result
Component traceability fully established with codes readable through warranty periods. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
