Application Overview

This case study presents a CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) coding application for oil filters, air filters and industrial filtration elements. The facility required reliable, high-speed marking directly on product surfaces and packaging materials.

Challenge

Marking part numbers and date codes on various filter materials required ink for paper, plastic and metal.

Solution

We deployed a compatible CIJ inkjet printer configured with optimized ink for the target substrate. The CIJ system printed directly on filter housings with quick-change ink formulations.

Result

Inventory tracking improved as each filter carried a unique scannable identification code. The CIJ system also reduced overall coding costs through our compatible consumables program.
