Ein Codierer, der um drei Uhr nachts steht, bekommt den Anruf. Einer, der zwei Wochen blass druckt, bekommt einen Zettel, den niemand liest — und genau der fällt irgendwann aus.

Die erste Frage: Verbrauchsmaterial oder Hardware

Neun von zehn Serviceeinsätzen an einem VJ Codierer enden bei Verbrauchsmaterial, einer Einstellung oder einem Filter. Nicht bei einer Platine, nicht bei einer Pumpe.

Beantworten Sie also vor dem Anruf eine Frage: hat sich etwas geändert? Gestern eine neue Kartusche eingesetzt. Eine andere Tintencharge. Eine Linie, die drei Schichten statt zwei lief. Wenn ja, verdächtigen Sie das zuerst.

Wenn sich monatelang nichts geändert hat und die Maschine langsam schlechter wurde, stehen Filter oder Düse wahrscheinlich kurz vor ihrem Intervall.

Erst den Chip, dann die Kartusche prüfen

Wenn ein Codierer eine Kartusche ablehnt, die vorher lief, ist der Chip der erste Verdächtige und die Kartusche der zweite. Das führt regelmäßig in die Irre, weil die Meldung auf das Verbrauchsmaterial zeigt, während der Fehler in der Identifikation sitzt.

Nehmen Sie die Kartusche heraus und prüfen Sie, ob der Controller überhaupt ein Volumen liest. Steht dort null bei Bestand, der letzten Monat lief, ist der Chip die Variable.

Viskosität und das zwei Wochen lange Verblassen

Das langsame Verblassen ist der am häufigsten fehldiagnostizierte Fehler an einer CIJ-Linie. Der Code wird über zwei Wochen heller, Bediener drehen an Einstellungen, und wenn der Code nicht mehr scanbar ist, läuft die Maschine weit außerhalb ihrer normalen Parameter.

Drei Ursachen. Viskositätsdrift, die die Maschine meist meldet. Eine teilweise verstopfte Düse, sichtbar als fehlende Punkte an konstanter Stelle. Ein zusetzender Filter, sichtbar als langsam fallender Druck.

Was vor dem Serviceeinsatz bereitliegen sollte

Ein Techniker mit den richtigen Teilen ist in einer Stunde durch. Einer, der rät, braucht drei und vereinbart einen zweiten Termin.

Halten Sie vier Dinge bereit: Modell und Seriennummer, Firmware-Version, Artikelnummern der geladenen Verbrauchsmaterialien und die letzten drei Fehlermeldungen mit Datum.

Am letzten Punkt scheitern fast alle, weil niemand Meldungen mitschreibt. Ein Blatt mit fünf Zeilen innen an der Schranktür löst das.

Verträge und die Aufzeichnungen, die Anrufe verkürzen

Fragen Sie, was die Reaktionszeit tatsächlich abdeckt. Kalenderstunden oder Arbeitsstunden. Mit Teilen oder nur Arbeit. Ein Vertrag mit «acht Stunden», deren Zählung um neun Uhr morgens beginnt, sind praktisch zwanzig Stunden — was in Ordnung ist, wenn Sie Bestand angelegt haben.
