Niemand plant den Einkauf von Loogal-Chips. Die Geräte laufen noch in Glaswerken, Abfülllinien und Kabelbetrieben, doch das Händlernetz, das sie einst versorgte, ist weitgehend verschwunden. Also landet die Bestellung bei dem, der ans Telefon geht. Dieser Leitfaden zeigt, wie man das ordentlich regelt, ohne zu viel zu zahlen.

Warum die Versorgung zurückblieb

Diese Kodiergeräte wurden über regionale Händler verkauft, viele davon klein. Diese Händler wurden älter, fusionierten oder führten kodierte Kartuschen nicht mehr, weil die Menge den Regalplatz nicht rechtfertigte. Das Gerät an der Linie lief weiter und brauchte weiter Chips.

An die Stelle des Händlers tritt meist der, der das Telefon abnimmt. So kommen Chips aus vier Quellen zusammen, keine dokumentiert, und niemand kann sagen, welche Charge den Ausschuss im letzten Quartal verursacht hat.

Das ist kein Grund, die Maschine zu tauschen. Es ist ein Grund, Chips wie jeden kritischen Verbrauchsartikel zu kaufen: mit Spezifikation, Prüfung und Aufzeichnung.

Was der kompatible Chip treffen muss

Drei Dinge. Die Identifikationsdaten, die die Steuerung erwartet. Format und Zeitpunkt, in dem diese Daten ankommen. Und die Firmware-Generation auf der Platine, die sie liest.

Am dritten Punkt beginnen die meisten Diskussionen. Kodiergeräte mit gleichem Typenschild wurden über einen langen Zeitraum gebaut, und die Platinen darunter änderten sich. Ein Chip, der an einer frühen Platine geprüft wurde, passt nicht automatisch zu einem fünf Jahre später gebauten Gerät.

Die nützliche Frage ist daher nicht, ob ein Lieferant kompatibel sagt. Sondern gegen welchen Firmware-Bereich eine konkrete Charge geprüft wurde und wann. Wer das in einem Absatz beantwortet, hat Ihnen einen Prüfstands-Termin erspart.

Ein Angebot lesen, das Revisionen nennt

Ein Angebot, aus dem man wirklich bestellen kann, nennt Kartuschenfamilie, Chiprevision, Firmware-Bereich und Prüfdatum. Alles Kürzere ist eine Ausgangsposition, kein Preis.

Achten Sie besonders auf eine Artikelnummer, die zwei Revisionen verdeckt. Das passiert, wenn eine alte Rolle nie abgeschrieben wurde. Es zeigt sich später als zwei oder drei Ausfälle pro hundert, die niemand erklären kann, und kostet deutlich mehr als die vermeintliche Ersparnis.

Auch der Stückpreis schmeichelt sich. Was Sie tatsächlich zahlen, sind die Kosten pro Chip am Einsatzort: Fracht, Ausfälle am Prüfstand, eine Lieferung mit falscher Revision und die Stunde eines Technikers, der herausfindet, was davon die Linie gestoppt hat. Nehmen Sie diese Spalte in Ihren Vergleich auf. Ein Lieferant, der zehn Prozent günstiger ist und fünf Prozent Ausschuss hat, ist nicht günstiger.

Mindestmenge und gemischter Karton

Mindestmengen für Chips richten sich meist nach der Tasche, was dem Lieferanten passt und jeden Betrieb mit breitem Maschinenpark still bestraft. Eine Kartuschenfamilie bewegt sich immer kaum, und genau die stoppt eine Linie.

Bestehen Sie auf einem gemischten Karton. Diese eine Zugeständnis entscheidet, ob ein Ersatzteilregal seinen Platz verdient oder ein Jahr Kapital bindet. Wenn ein Lieferant ablehnt, fragen Sie, was das Mischen tatsächlich kostet. Manchmal ist es echte Logistik. Oft ist es Gewohnheit.

Chips lagern, damit dem Regal zu trauen ist

Chips sind keine Tinte. Sie laufen nicht zu einem aufgedruckten Datum ab, und genau deshalb verursachen sie Probleme. Eine Rolle kann drei Jahre im Regal liegen, zwei Firmware-Updates der Maschine überstehen und dann montiert werden, weil sie vorne lag.

Zwei Gewohnheiten lösen das. Schreiben Sie beim Eingang die Firmware-Version auf die Tasche, nicht die Modellnummer. Und rotieren Sie gegen die Maschine, für die gekauft wurde, denn ein Chip, der auf einem Gerät einwandfrei ist, kann auf einem zwei Meter entfernten Ausschuss sein.

Geprüft wird dann an der Maschine, die die Chips wirklich fährt, nicht an der neben der Tür. Fahren Sie eine ganze Schicht statt eines einzelnen Drucks: Die Fehler, die sich zu suchen lohnen, zeigen sich nach einer Stunde Dauerbetrieb.

Eine Marke und gemischter Park sind zwei Aufgaben

Läuft nur ein Loogal-Gerät, kaufen Sie einfach: ein Lieferant, eine Revision, eine Taschengröße, Nachbestellung nach Verbrauch. Das Risiko ist der einzelne Ausfallpunkt, also halten Sie eine Reservetasche, die niemand für eine andere Maschine nehmen darf.

Ein gemischter Park ist schwieriger. Chips für ein Loogal, ein größeres Plattformgerät und ein Handgerät müssen sich um drei Uhr nachts auf einem dunklen Regal unterscheiden lassen, sonst wird der falsche montiert und dem Lieferanten angelastet. Ersatzbestände für Maschinen, die nicht stehen dürfen

Die meisten Betriebe halten zwei bis vier Wochen Chips und nichts darüber hinaus. Für ein Handgerät, das gelegentlich Kartons markiert, ist das vertretbar. Für das Kodiergerät, das Chargen- und Datumsdaten in eine Linie speist, die nicht stehen darf, ist es dünn.

Legen Sie den Bestand pro Maschine fest, nicht pro Werk. Das Gerät, das Rückverfolgungscodes druckt, bekommt eine gekennzeichnete Reservetasche mit der Firmware-Version, für die sie bestellt wurde. Alles andere kann einen Tag warten.

Drei Fragen vor jeder Nachbestellung

Welcher Firmware-Bereich, geprüft wann? Was passiert mit dem Taschenetikett, wenn die Revision mitten in der Rolle wechselt? Und wen rufen Sie um zwei Uhr nachts an, wenn eine neue Tasche nicht gelesen wird?

Stellen Sie diese drei Fragen vor der Preisfrage, und das Beschaffungsgespräch wird jedes Jahr kürzer.
