Leadtech Maschinen kommen selten auf demselben Weg in einen Betrieb. Der eine erbt drei Geräte von einer stillgelegten Linie, ein Händler kauft einen Container aufbereiteter Maschinen, und plötzlich muss der Einkauf sie versorgen. Genau dann kommt die Frage: woher kommen die Chips und wer verkauft sie.

Warum kompatible Chips gesucht werden

Der Originalweg sieht vernünftig aus, bis die Rechnung kommt. Der Originalchip hängt an einem Fluidprogramm, und dieses Programm wird pro Liter abgerechnet, nicht pro Chip. Mit zwei Linien ist das zu verkraften. Sobald mehrere Marken nebeneinander laufen, geht die Rechnung nicht mehr auf.

Dazu kommt ein zweiter Grund, der seltener ausgesprochen wird. Diese Maschinen sind langlebig und überleben damit die Lieferkette, die man um sie herum aufgebaut hat. Streicht der Vertriebspartner eine Reihe, verschwinden die Verbrauchsmaterialien deutlich vor der Hardware.

Erst die Teilenummer, dann der Preis

Kompatible Chips sind nicht über eine ganze Markenreihe austauschbar. Der Chip muss zu Modell, Kartuschenfamilie und teils zur Firmware-Generation passen. Zwei Maschinen im selben Raum können unterschiedliche Teile brauchen.

Also erst die Teilenummer klären, dann den Preis. Kartuschenetikett fotografieren, Modell notieren, Firmware-Version beim Start aufschreiben. Alles drei mitschicken. Wer diese Angaben abfragt, hat das Problem meist schon gesehen.

Was ein Großhändler zeigen können muss

Fragen Sie drei Dinge. Einen Prüfbericht der Produktionscharge statt eines allgemeinen Zertifikats. Eine Lieferzeit pro Charge statt pro Bestellung. Und eine klare Aussage, was bei einer Reklamation im Wareneingang passiert.

Dann die unangenehme Frage: an welche Modelle dieses Teil in den letzten sechs Monaten ging. Wer echtes Volumen macht, antwortet ohne nachzusehen. Sie suchen keine makellose Bilanz, sondern jemanden, der seine Rücksendungen kennt.

Preisstufen und die ehrliche MOQ-Frage

Chip-Preise fallen in Stufen, nicht entlang einer glatten Kurve, und die Stufe liegt meist dort, wo eine Produktionscharge liegt. Deshalb tauchen 100 oder 500 Stück viel häufiger auf als 250. Sagt ein Lieferant nicht, wo die Stufe liegt, liegt sie wahrscheinlich über Ihrem Bedarf.

Bestellen Sie nicht zu viel, nur um die Stufe zu erreichen. Chips lagern gut, das Kapital liegt aber nicht still, und Firmware-Updates kommen gern mitten in einen Lagerzyklus.

Der Chip ist nur die Hälfte der Verbrauchsentscheidung. Tinte, Lösungsmittel und der Chip, der beides freigibt, gehören in dieselbe Budgetzeile, weil sie unterschiedlich schnell zur Neige gehen. Lösungsmittel verschwindet im heißen Betrieb mit vielen Stopps am schnellsten. Der Tintenverbrauch folgt Druckdichte und Bandgeschwindigkeit weit mehr als dem Kalender.

Kann ein Firmware-Update sie sperren? Gelegentlich ändert eine große Version die Erkennung. Lieferanten mit Volumen verfolgen das und nennen die getesteten Firmware-Generationen.

Wie viel für einen Test? Genug für eine Linie über einen vollen Produktionszyklus, meist eine Charge.
