Von zehn Sojet-Anfragen, die ich bekomme, beginnen neun mit dem Preis pro Chip. Das ist die letzte Frage, nicht die erste.

Sojet deckt ein breites Feld ab: die Handgeräte 11S+, die Lager- und Wareneingangsmitarbeiter mit sich herumtragen, und die fest montierten Koder an Verpackungslinien. Anderer Kopf, andere Patrone, anderer Chip. Der Chip sagt dem Koder, welches Fluid geladen ist und wie viel davon übrig ist. Stimmt die Referenz nicht, startet die Maschine entweder gar nicht oder druckt eine halbe Schicht und bleibt stehen.

Erst die Maschine, dann die Preisliste

Die ehrliche erste Frage ist eng und hat nichts mit Geld zu tun: welche Maschine, welche Firmware-Revision, welche Patronenreferenz, welcher Chip. Ist das geklärt, ordnet sich der Rest fast von selbst.

Was der Tintenchip wirklich steuert

Drei Dinge, in dieser Reihenfolge: Fluididentität, Nennfüllmenge und die Chargendaten, die der Koder in sein Protokoll schreibt. Vor der ersten Tintendosierung liest er den Chip.

Im Großhandel kaufen Sie also zwei Produkte in einer Schachtel: die Tintenpatrone und einen elektronischen Schlüssel. Ein Chip, der nur halb zur Firmware passt, ist der teuerste Artikel im Regal: kleine Rechnung, langer Stillstand. Ich habe erlebt, wie 30 Euro Ersparnis vier Stunden Abfülllinie gekostet haben. Rechnen Sie das einmal durch, und das nächste Preisgespräch klingt anders.

Erst ein Patronenregister, dann Angebote anfragen

Eine Zeile pro Maschine: Modell, die heute gefahrene Patronenreferenz, die Firmware-Revision und das Datum der letzten Aktualisierung.

Das kostet einen Nachmittag. Es beantwortet aber die ersten drei Fragen des Lieferanten, bevor er sie stellt, und es ist das Dokument, mit dem Sie noch in zwei Jahren argumentieren, wenn ein neuer Bediener schwört, die Patrone habe „früher gepasst“.

Handgeräte und Festlinien verbrauchen unterschiedlich

Ein Handgerät wandert mit dem Bediener. Ein paar hundert Markierungen pro Schicht, dann steht es eine Woche im Regal. Der Verbrauch ist sprunghaft und schwer zu prognostizieren.

Ein fest montierter Koder an einer Verpackungslinie läuft im Takt der Linie: gleichmäßig und planbar. Planen Sie beides in einem Nachbestellzyklus, haben Sie am Ende eine Palette der falschen Referenz und einen Engpass bei der richtigen. Trennen Sie die beiden Bedarfsströme in Ihren eigenen Aufzeichnungen, bevor Sie über Mengen sprechen.

Füllmengenangaben ehrlich lesen

Lieferanten nennen Milliliter und nennen „Drucke pro Patrone“. Nur das Erste ist eine Spezifikation. Die Druckzahl hängt von Zeichenhöhe, Punktdichte, Umgebungstemperatur und der Leerlaufzeit zwischen Aufträgen ab.

Fragen Sie nach Millilitern und dem Nachfüllverhältnis für Ihr Fluid und rechnen Sie Ihre eigene Drucklast darauf. Kann ein Lieferant das Verhältnis nicht nennen, verkauft er weiter, statt zu unterstützen — den Unterschied merken Sie im ersten kalten Monat.

Noch etwas: Ein billiges Fluid, das den Nachfüllverbrauch hochtreibt, ist nicht billig. Rechnen Sie beide Zahlen zusammen, pro tausend Markierungen, statt die Rechnung entscheiden zu lassen.

Haltbarkeit, Chargen und Lagerung

Lösemittelhaltige Fluide werden nicht besser mit dem Alter. Eine Patrone, die zwei Sommer in einem warmen Lager verbracht hat, verhält sich anders als eine im letzten Monat abgefüllte — und zeigt sich als instabile Viskosität, nicht als offensichtlicher Fehler beim Start.

Schreiben Sie Produktionsdaten in die Bestellung, nicht in ein Telefonversprechen. Lehnen Sie Restposten ab, die mit weniger als der halben Haltbarkeit ankommen. Aufrecht lagern, ohne direkte Sonne, weg von der Eigenwärme des Koders. Eine Palette neben dem Kompressor tauschen Sie vorzeitig aus.

Wie ein fairer Großhandelspreis aussieht

Der Stückpreis ist die Zahl, die alle vergleichen, und allein am wenigsten aussagt. Fragen Sie nach den Landed Costs: Karton, Fracht, Zoll und die Menge, die die nächste Stufe öffnet.

Dann achten Sie auf die Falle eines sehr niedrigen Stückpreises hinter einer sehr hohen Mindestbestellmenge. Achtzehn Monate Vorrat zu halten, um vier Prozent zu sparen, ist ein schlechtes Geschäft, wenn Haltbarkeit und gebundenes Kapital auf dem Spiel stehen. Zwei kleinere Lieferungen im Jahr schlagen meist eine einzige große.

Drei Fragen, eine Seite, dann bestellen

Können sie Chargenrückverfolgbarkeit zeigen, wenn Sie danach fragen? Gibt es eine schriftliche Position zu einer Patrone, die bei Ankunft versagt? Und kommt ein Techniker ans Telefon, wenn ein Chip nicht gelesen wird? Einem Lieferanten, der alle drei ohne Zögern beantwortet, zahle ich etwas mehr.

Schreiben Sie vor der Bestellung fünf Zeilen auf eine Seite. Modelle und Firmware bestätigt. Referenzen gegen Ihr eigenes Register geprüft. Produktionsdaten im Vertrag. Jahresmenge aus Ihrer eigenen Zwölfmonatshistorie, getrennt nach Hand- und Festkoder. Lieferzeit auf Papier. Der größte Teil des Risikos ist weg, bevor der erste Karton sich bewegt.
