Loogal-Maschinen überleben ihre eigenen Unterlagen meist deutlich. Eine Einheit der 42er Reihe wird aufgestellt, läuft zwei Schichten lang ein Jahrzehnt, und wenn dann Lösemittel nachbestellt werden muss, hat der ursprüngliche Händler entweder das Feld gewechselt oder längst das Interesse an einer so alten Maschine verloren. Danach wird die Verbrauchsseite zur eigenen Sucharbeit.

Lösemittelchips in Großmengen einzukaufen ist etwas anderes, als unterwegs eine Flasche mitzunehmen. Die Fehlerbilder ändern sich, und die Fragen vor der Zahlung auch.

Warum der Loogal-Ersatzteilmarkt so dünn wirkt

Der Bestand ist real, aber verstreut. Anders als bei den großen Plattformen stehen Loogal-Geräte in Kabelwerken, bei kleinen Lohnverpackern und in Druckereien, die gebraucht gekauft und nichts registriert haben. Eine saubere Händlerkarte gibt es nicht.

Das hat zwei Seiten. Das Angebot ist dünn, und die Konkurrenz darum ebenfalls. Wer die Hausaufgaben macht, kommt zu einer Lieferantenbeziehung, die Wettbewerber nie finden.

Worauf es auf der Lösemittelseite ankommt

Drei Dinge müssen zusammenpassen: die Identifikationsdaten, die die Steuerung erwartet; das Format und der Zeitpunkt, in dem sie ankommen; und die Firmware-Generation auf der Platine, die sie liest.

Lösemittel bringt einen vierten Punkt mit: den Verbrauch. Eine Maschine, die schneller trinkt als sie sollte, verbraucht eine Chipcharge vorzeitig, und der Einkäufer bekommt die Schuld. Steigt der Monatsverbrauch plötzlich, prüfen Sie Düse und Filter, bevor Sie die letzte Lieferung verantwortlich machen.

Ein Angebot für Lösemittelchips richtig lesen

Ein brauchbares Angebot nennt Kartuschenfamilie, Chiprevision, den getesteten Firmware-Bereich und das Testdatum. Alles Kürzere ist eine Ausgangsposition, kein Preis.

Achten Sie auf eine Teilenummer, die still zwei Revisionen abdeckt. Meist liegt eine alte Rolle im Lager, die nie abgeschrieben wurde. Später zeigt sich das als zwei oder drei Ausfälle auf hundert, die niemand zurückverfolgen kann, und es kostet mehr als der vermeintliche Rabatt.

Auch der Stückpreis schmeichelt sich selbst. Bezahlt wird der Chip an Ort und Stelle: Fracht, Handhabung, eine Lieferung mit falscher Revision und die Stunde, in der ein Techniker herausfindet, was davon die Linie gestoppt hat.

Testen, bevor die Palette kommt

Ein Prüfstand beweist bei einem Lösemittelchip fast nichts. Die Ausfälle, auf die es ankommt, zeigen sich nach einer Stunde Dauerbetrieb, nicht in den ersten zehn Minuten, und sie zeigen sich auf der Platine, die liest, nicht auf dem Prüfstand, der versorgt.

Testen Sie also an der Maschine, die die Charge tatsächlich fährt, über eine ganze Schicht, und legen Sie einen Chip jeder Charge in eine datierte Tüte. Ein Jahr später beantwortet diese Tüte Fragen, die kein E-Mail-Verlauf beantwortet.

Zwei Gewohnheiten lösen das. Führen Sie eine Revisionsübersicht auf einer Seite: welche Chiprevision zu welcher Firmware-Generation gehört, aktualisiert, sobald sich etwas ändert. Und schreiben Sie beim Wareneingang die Firmware-Version auf die Tüte, nicht die Typenbezeichnung.

Lagerregeln, die niemand aufschreibt

Ein Chip ist kein Lösemittel. Er läuft nicht zu dem Datum ab, das auf der Tüte steht, und genau deshalb macht er Probleme. Eine Rolle kann drei Jahre liegen, zwei Firmware-Updates der Maschine überstehen, für die sie gekauft wurde, und dann verbaut werden, weil sie vorne lag.

Rotieren Sie den Bestand gegen die Maschine, für die gekauft wurde. Ein Chip, der auf einem Gerät einwandfrei ist, kann zwei Meter weiter Ausschuss sein.

Wo Händler still Geld verlieren

Wiederverkäufer kalkulieren pro Tüte und vergessen die Rücksendungen. Jede zurückkommende Tüte mit falscher Revision ist Fracht in beide Richtungen plus ein Kunde, der ab jetzt vor der Bestellung testet und damit jeden weiteren Auftrag langsamer macht.

Messen Sie zwei Zahlen: die Erstpassungsquote und Rücksendungen pro hundert versandter Tüten. Beide sind billig zu erfassen und sagen mehr über einen Lieferanten als jede Preisliste. Über 98 Prozent hält die Marge. Unter 95 ist die billige Tüte die teure.

Drei Fragen vor jeder Nachbestellung

Welcher Firmware-Bereich, getestet wann? Was passiert mit dem Tütenaufkleber, wenn die Revision mitten in der Charge wechselt? Und wen ruft man um zwei Uhr nachts an, wenn eine neue Tüte nicht liest?

Stellen Sie diese drei Fragen vor der Preisfrage — und das Einkaufsgespräch wird jedes Jahr kürzer. Fangen Sie mit einer Tüte an der Maschine an, die wirklich läuft, halten Sie die Revisionsübersicht aktuell, und lassen Sie den Probeauftrag über die Palette entscheiden.
