Betriebskosten eines CIJ-Kodiergeräts: die Jahresrechnung

Was ein Kodiergerät im Jahr kostet, steht nicht im Maschinenpreis, sondern in drei Rechnungen: Verbrauchsmaterial, Bedienerzeit und Stillstand. Solange nicht alles auf Kosten pro tausend Codes umgerechnet ist, ist jeder Vergleich wertlos.

Die Jahresrechnung ist keine einzelne Zeile

Fragt man, was ein CIJ-Kodiergerät im Jahr kostet, nennen die meisten die Tinte. Tinterrechnungen sind sichtbar, also tragen sie die Schuld. Zieht man jedoch zwölf Monate Einkaufsdaten heran, liegt Tinte bei etwa vierzig Prozent der Verbrauchskosten, und der Rest verteilt sich auf Positionen, für die niemand budgetiert hat.

Wohin das Geld tatsächlich geht

Tinte und Lösungsmittel stehen oben. Der Lösungsmittelverbrauch überrascht Erstkäufer am stärksten, weil es auch verdunstet, wenn die Maschine nicht druckt. Eine Linie im Dreischichtbetrieb verbraucht fast so viel Lösungsmittel wie eine einschichtige, denn der Druckkopf muss in den Pausen feucht bleiben.

Danach kommen Teile mit festen Laufzeiten: Filter, Pumpen und der Druckkopf selbst. Der kompatible Chip auf jeder Kartusche gehört in dasselbe Fach. Einzeln ist das günstig. Über ein Jahr und mehrere Maschinen ergibt es eine echte Summe, und gekauft wird meist reaktiv, zu dem Preis, den der örtliche Händler in dieser Woche nennt.

Stillstand schreibt niemand auf. Eine Stunde stehende Abfülllinie kostet mehr als ein Monatsbedarf an Chips, und die meisten Entscheidungen über Verbrauchsmaterial fallen ohne diese Zahl auf dem Tisch.

Kosten, die nie in der Tabelle landen

Zwei unsichtbare Posten verdienen eine eigene Spalte. Erstens Bedienerzeit für Nachfüllen, Spülen und Quittieren von Fehlern. Zweitens Ausschuss von einem Druckbild, das beim Start passte und zwei Stunden später weglief.

Beides erscheint nicht im Verbrauchskonto, und beides hängt von der Qualität des Materials ab. Tinte, die die Düse langsam zusetzt, ist teurer als Tinte, die zehn Prozent mehr kostet.

Kosten senken, ohne Codequalität zu senken

Vier Schritte wirken. Tinte, Lösungsmittel und kompatible Chips bei einem Lieferanten bündeln, damit Fracht und Konditionen zusammenlaufen. Chips kartonsweise kaufen statt in Zwanzigern. Lösungsmittelverbrauch pro Schicht erfassen und die Undichtigkeit finden, bevor sie zur Gewohnheit wird. Und den Zusatz auf einer bereits geprüften Charge halten, statt dem gerade beworbenen Fass nachzujagen.

Was nicht wirkt: die Tintenspezifikation nach unten kürzen. Codes, die verschmieren oder verblassen, kosten in der Nacharbeit mehr als die Ersparnis am Fass.

Monat für Monat erfassen

Notieren Sie je Maschine vier Zahlen: Liter Tinte, Liter Lösungsmittel, verbrauchte Chips und Stunden unplanmäßigen Stillstands wegen der Kodierung. Nach sechs Monaten steht der Wert pro tausend Codes — die einzige Zahl, die man zwischen Lieferanten oder Maschinen vergleichen sollte.

Sie beendet auch Diskussionen. Wenn jemand auf eine günstigere Flüssigkeit wechseln will, zeigt die Aufzeichnung bereits, was der letzte Wechsel bewirkt hat.
